Effective date: June 6, 2026 · Last updated: June 6, 2026
Caldera Compounds ("Caldera," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using calderacompounds.com (the "Site") or purchasing from us, you agree to this policy.
Contents
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Email address — when you sign up for our email list, submit a quote request, place an order, or contact us
- Name and shipping details — when placing an order, including shipping address and any account/institution name you provide
- Payment information — we accept payment by Zelle or wire transfer; we do not store payment card numbers
- Communication content — messages you send us through forms, email, or chat
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent, links clicked, referring URL, browser type, device type, IP address
- Cookies and similar technologies — small files stored on your device that help us recognize repeat visitors and remember preferences
- Onsite tracking via Klaviyo — we use Klaviyo to track behavior on this site (page views, form submissions, product page visits) so we can send relevant emails and improve the Site
2. How we use your information
- To process and fulfill your orders
- To send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and customer service responses
- To send marketing emails (welcome series, restock alerts, promotional offers) — only if you've opted in
- To improve the Site's design, content, and product catalog based on aggregated usage
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud
- To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent prohibited use of our products
3. Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the third-party service providers we use to operate the Site and process orders:
- Klaviyo — email marketing platform and onsite behavior tracking. See Klaviyo's privacy policy.
- Netlify — site hosting and form processing. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- Namecheap Private Email — our customer email infrastructure. See Namecheap's privacy policy.
- Google Search Console & analytics tools — for aggregate site performance data.
- Shipping carriers — we share your shipping address with USPS, UPS, FedEx, or similar to deliver your order.
- Law enforcement or regulators — only if required by valid legal process.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences (e.g., your shopping cart, your age-gate confirmation), measure traffic, and personalize your experience. Most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent — check your browser's settings. Disabling cookies may prevent some features of the Site from working correctly.
Klaviyo's onsite tracking uses cookies and identifies your browser session so we can attribute future signups and behavior to a coherent visit. If you'd prefer not to be tracked, you may opt out by disabling JavaScript or by emailing us at info@calderacompounds.com with the subject "Opt out of tracking."
5. Email marketing
By signing up for our email list (via the popup, footer form, or any other opt-in), you consent to receive marketing emails from us, including:
- A welcome series introducing Caldera Compounds
- Stock alerts for products you've requested
- Occasional promotional emails (typically no more than 2-4 per month)
- Educational content related to research peptides
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email. Unsubscribing removes you from marketing lists only; you'll still receive transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping notifications) related to any active orders.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction (including California, Virginia, Colorado, EU/UK under GDPR, and others), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information (subject to legal record-keeping obligations)
- Opt out of marketing communications and certain types of tracking
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@calderacompounds.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
7. Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:
- Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
- Order records: 7 years (for tax and compliance purposes)
- Inquiries and customer service messages: 2 years
- Site usage data: typically 24 months in Klaviyo, then aggregated
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices — HTTPS encryption across the entire Site, secure DNS, two-factor authentication on our admin tools, and reputable third-party service providers that maintain SOC 2 or equivalent compliance. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your information has been compromised, contact us at info@calderacompounds.com immediately.
9. Children's privacy / age restriction
Caldera Compounds is intended exclusively for qualified researchers and institutional buyers 21 years of age or older. The Site enforces an age confirmation on first visit. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us at info@calderacompounds.com and we'll delete it.
10. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., partner labs, citation sources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review each third party's privacy policy before providing them with any information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email to subscribers and/or with a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
